Selling tickets to a live stream

How do I sell tickets to a live stream of my own event?
You create an event page, set a ticket price and share the link. Viewers pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or card and get a watch link, with no account to create. You send the video from OBS or any encoder to the ingest address you get when the event is created. On myStaze the platform fee is a flat 1 EUR per sold ticket, with no percentage and no monthly plan.
What is the cheapest way to sell tickets to an online event?
A flat per ticket fee beats a percentage as soon as your ticket costs more than about 10 EUR. myStaze charges a flat 1 EUR per sold ticket, while comparable platforms take 9 to 10 percent of every ticket and often a monthly plan on top. On a 25 EUR ticket that is 1 EUR to us against about 2.50 EUR elsewhere, so 1000 tickets is a difference of roughly 1500 EUR. Card processing costs are separate and apply on any platform.
How much does myStaze take compared with percentage based platforms?
myStaze takes a flat 1 EUR per sold ticket. Percentage platforms in this category are usually in the 9 to 10 percent per ticket range, and some add a service fee to the buyer's price rather than yours, plus a monthly subscription. The flat fee means your cost per ticket does not grow when you raise your price or sell more. Published rates change, so check the current numbers with each platform before you compare.
Do viewers need to sign up or download an app to watch?
No. A viewer buys a ticket and gets a watch link that opens in the browser, with no account, no password and nothing to install. Checkout takes Apple Pay, Google Pay and card in the viewer's own currency, and the pages are in 67 languages. Removing the sign-up step is the single biggest thing you can do for conversion on a paid stream.
How do I get paid, and how long does it take?
Ticket revenue is settled to you after the broadcast, normally by bank transfer within 7 business days. Payouts work worldwide: IBAN inside the EU, and Wise, PayPal or other routes elsewhere. You do not need a Stripe account or any merchant onboarding, we handle the payment side and send you the balance minus 1 EUR per sold ticket.
What does it cost to get started, and what happens if nobody buys a ticket?
Starting costs nothing. There is no monthly plan, no setup fee, no minimum and no contract, so an event that sells nothing costs you nothing at all. The fee exists only per sold ticket, at 1 EUR each. The downside of trying one stream is your own time.
How many people can watch my stream at the same time?
From a handful to millions of concurrent viewers. Video is delivered over a global network that scales with demand, so a night that draws ten times what you expected needs nothing extra from you. We have run ticketed streams for boxing, MMA and concerts, including Striker MMA, GeeBee boxing and Scorpions.
Can I sell a replay after the live show is over?
Yes. The replay is published to ticket holders after the broadcast for a window you set, and you can keep selling access to it afterwards. People who could not make the live time are a real part of the audience for most events. The same flat 1 EUR per sold ticket applies to replay tickets.
What kind of events can I put behind a ticket?
Any live event people would pay to see: concerts and club nights, boxing and MMA, festivals, church services, stand-up, conferences and sports matches. You need the rights to what you show, including the music. There is no minimum audience, and a small paying crowd still works because the fee is per ticket rather than a monthly plan.
Do you film or produce the event for me?
No. myStaze is not a production company and is never on site. You provide the video feed from your own camera, mixer, phone or production crew, and send it to the ingest address with OBS or any standard encoder. Everything after that is ours: the ticket page, checkout, playback, chat and payouts.
How do you stop people from sharing the link or restreaming the event?
Every ticket gets its own signed watch link, playback tokens expire and refresh while the stream runs, and a ticket plays on one device at a time. Streams can also carry a visible watermark. No platform can stop someone pointing a phone at a screen, so the aim is to make casual link sharing useless, which is where nearly all of the leakage happens.
Can people abroad buy tickets, and in their own currency?
Yes. Buyers pay in their local currency with local payment methods, and the ticket pages and checkout are in 67 languages. You set your price in your own currency and are paid in it. Our fee is localized the same way: 1 EUR, 1 GBP, 1 USD or about 160 JPY per sold ticket.
Can viewers tip or pay extra during the stream?
Yes. The live chat carries paid tips that viewers can send during the broadcast. Tips are voluntary payments, they carry no VAT and no platform fee, so they are settled to you in full.
Can I start today, or is there a waiting list?
You can create an event and set it up now. We are opening streaming to more organizers step by step through late 2026, so for a first event we go through the details with you before your date. If you already have a date, tell us and we will say straight away whether we can carry it.

For artists & organizers
